Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays

5 am.

Woken up at 5am by… Diana. She was standing next to the bed with a line of children behind her, shaking my foot asking “Can we get up now? Can we? Can we?”

But it has been wonderful so far. Yesterday was great to see my family, although my mom is in a lot of trouble. Let’s just say that the buckeyes turned out just fine. I wonder how many of our exchanges 8-10 buckeyes are? 😉 Just teasing, they taste grand, and thankfully are almost gone.

It’s time for Ella and I to help Owen finish up his Lego project, then get in shower and head off to Diana’s parents. There has been a request for Rock Band to accompany us, so it should be a fun time there as well.

Happy holidays to everyone!

  1. LOL, 5 AM?! You need to set up the rule that Christmas can’t start till 7! 🙂 I remember many a Christmas with the 3 & sometimes 4 of us awake staring at presents waiting till it was late enough we could go wake Dad up! 🙂

I still get up early, go turn on the tree & Christmas music and fall back asleep on the couch till Mike wakes up! 🙂

Glad you are having a good Christmas so far! Careful driving today!

    Love – u zistar

  2. Uh, oh! And I thought I was being so helpful by not baking the Chocolate-Peanut Swirls and Ginger cookies. 🙂 Hey, at least I didn’t send the rest of the buckeyes to you with your dad today. (See how helpful I am?) I’m just thinking we could have worked on your strength training by wrestling the buckeyes away from you. Anyway, you are both still doing a great job and this is the hardest time of year to “stick with it”.

Christine, I remember many a Christmas morning sitting there in the dark with only the Christmas tree lights on, with the 3 of you, listening to Christmas music, trying to figure out which packages belonged to who, and waiting “forever” for the clock to get to 7 so we could get your dad up. This year, your dad was awake and turning on all the Christmas lights waiting for ME to wake up! 🙂

  3. Thank you for bringing Rock Band, and Just Dance, and your fabulous family. Y’all are the best part of my Christmas. 🙂
